The JP Book struck with three winners on the day Hereford opened its doors for punters to resume their love affair with the racecourse after a four year spell in the wilderness.

It was good to see the return of racing at the venue, but although I thought the ground description released by the racecourse appeared to be a bit harsh. The races were run at a good pace and the horses appeared to jump both the hurdles and fences well enough. The crowd was amazing and it just shows how many people will turn up to support jumping venues. Hopefully that type of crowd will return in the future to enjoy the racing at this popular jumping track.

The book winners included RATHER BE, COILLTE LASS & EMERGING FORCE paid SP treble of 4/1.
Those three would have more than paid for the outlay of purchasing the book. I’m sure many more like this will appear over the coming months.

This weekend will see some of the major jumping yards dip their toe into the core jumping season.
We could really do with a drop of rain to encourage connections of the top core jumpers to begin to send out those horses that will hopefully capture the imagination of the jumping enthusiasts.
I’m only doing a small ‘rain dance’ as I don’t want the ‘rain god’ to unleash any similar biblical downpours that came our way last year!

If you don’t already have your copy of the JP book, you can place your order on the ‘About The Book’ page on the website.
